The Admissions Office is located on the ground floor of the Hospital. You should
park in the east lot and enter through the outpatient entrance. Prior to and during
admission, you will be asked many questions. Your responses will become a part of
your confidential Hospital record.
What to Bring
We can provide you with a gown and slippers, but you may feel more comfortable in
your own nightwear. You should pack your own personal hygiene items such as a toothbrush,
toothpaste and deodorant. You may also want writing and reading materials.
Please leave valuables, including jewelry and money at home. We cannot be responsible
for damage to dentures or eyeglasses or for the loss of valuables.
If you have an advance directive (living will or durable power of attorney for health
care), please bring a copy with you so it can be placed in your records.
Admitting Day
The Hospital provides private or two-bed, semi-private rooms and will make every
effort to accommodate specific requests.
Patients without health insurance coverage will be required to make a deposit. If
a private room is requested, the room differential rate will be required at the
time of discharge. If you anticipate any difficulty in paying your Hospital bill,
please contact our financial counselor at 717-849-5438 or extension 5438 if you
are calling from your room.
Patient Privacy
During your admission process, you will be given a patient privacy notice that will
explain your rights under the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act
(HIPAA).
