The Memorial Hospital Auxiliary Ladies’ 5K Run and Walk will be held on Saturday, June 5 at 9 a.m.  Registration will begin at 8 a.m. at the Surgical Center of York, 1750 Fifth Avenue in York. 

            Awards will be given to the top three overall finishers and the top three finishers in each category.  All participants will receive a dri –fit t-shirt or water bottle and goodie bag at the event. 

            The age groups are as follows: 13 and under, 14 – 18, 19-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59 and 60 and over. 

            The measured course run will be held on paved streets and there will be a professional timer.  An Awards Ceremony and prize drawings will be held after the race. 

            The major sponsors for the event are Shipley Energy, Stauffer’s Biscuit Company and Body, Mind and Spirit Massage Therapy .

            The registration fee prior to May 20 is $20.  (The fee is only $10 for participants who do not want a t-shirt or water bottle.)  The registration fee after May 20 or on race day is $25. (The fee is only $15 for participants who do not want a t-shirt or water bottle.)  Ladies who are Weight Watchers members participating in the Walk-It Challenge can register for the 5K as a team and are eligible for a discounted rate.  This event will be held rain or shine – there are no refunds.
