The fifth annual Baby and Kids Expo, presented by Memorial Hospital, will be held on Saturday, May 8 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the York Expo Center (Memorial Hall East).
This is the only expo of its kind in York County specifically for expectant parents and families with young children. The event will include exhibits, demonstrations, shopping, children’s activities, hands-on workshops and much more.
Some of the activities that will be featured at this free event include:
- Two performances by the band, Milkshake
- Special 30-minute appearances throughout the day by Sesame Street ‘s favorite character, Walkaround Elmo, and Nickelodeon’s Dora The Explorer
- A diaper derby for children 13 months old and younger
- A reading corner featuring professional storytellers
- Performances by Greater York Dance, Hard Kohr Fitness, One Step Magic, Mode Maternity and KidsBlitz Boutique and more
- Massages, mini manicures and hairstyling by Lancaster School of Cosmetology
- Bob’s Critters will be on hand
- Group activities with Gymboree
- There will also be a play zone featuring a bounce house, balloon art, face painting, kids’ art activities, a stilt walker and much, much more!
“We are looking forward to a fun event that also exposes parents to the resources they need to raise a healthy family,” said Sally Dixon, Memorial president and CEO.
Parents may register for a $1,000 savings bond, courtesy of Fulton Bank, Drovers Division, for their child.
