Memorial Hospital welcomes student physicians from any of the AOA-accredited colleges of osteopathic medicine. Memorial is a partner in the Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine (LECOM) OPTI and provides core rotations for students from LECOM, Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine, and Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine Elective. Required rotations are available in many disciplines:

Your experience as an extern at Memorial Hospital will include:
Clinical management and hands-on exposure to patient care as appropriate to your specific rotation and level of training.
Limited housing located near the Hospital available on a first-come, first-served basis.
Meals are provided free of charge in the cafeteria.
Orientation program for first-time students.
Didactic program which includes a morning report, lectures, grand rounds, tumor board, OMT workshop, departmental lectures and journal clubs. CME lectures are held on Wednesday and Thursday mornings. Resident lectures are held weekdays after each morning report.
Exposure to the intern and residency programs offered at Memorial. Many of our students return to Memorial for their internship and/or residency.
Access to a local fitness center during rotation.
A well-equipped and staff library.
Wireless internet, OVID and up-to-date access within the hospital.
